Bill Jones Mr Universe has won countless titles as a competitive bodybuilder.
GYM 21 owner, Bill Jones, has won countless titles as a bodybuilder, including the Mr Universe title.
Bill Jones is a unique athlete, as he has competed at the top level in more than one sport. Not only is a Bill a successful Body-Builder, he has also competed for his country as a Karate and has proved himself as a karate champion!
Bill has won just about every Body-Building title that there is to win. After
winning Mr England, Mr United Kingdom and Mr Great Britain, he went on to the International stage to win the Mr Universe title.
It goes without saying that there aren’t many gyms around, that can boast a real Mr Universe champion as its owner!

Bill is now using all of his knowledge and expertise, in the running of one of the most up to date gymnasiums in the UK.
Many of Gym 21’s members have been using the gym facilities for longer than thirty years!

How it all Started
Overcoming Adversity
Bill took up Body-Building at the tender age of 25, after his deep-sea diving career was dramatically cut short. He was travelling all over the world inspecting oil rigs, when disaster struck in the Gulf. Iran was at war with Iraq and Bill’s ship was hit by an Exocet missile.
Many of Bill’s friends were killed or badly burned, but Bill was lucky, as he was inside his cabin at the time of impact. However, the pressure from the explosion burst Bill’s ear drums, ending his diving career.
After several surgeries, Bill returned to the UK, where he started working on building the Gym 21 brand. This was the natural progression from competitive body-building.
Charity Work
The David Koritar Appeal
Bill has also worked tirelessly for the community helping to raise money and awareness for a number of good causes and the successful David Koritar Appeal was one such example.
St Stephen’s Church Donation
Paddy Pimblett (Paddy the Baddy) and Molly (Meatball) McConnell have been filming with the BBC at Gym 21 today and Bill Jones Mr Universe has agreed that all proceeds from the BBC will be donated by them, directly to the charitable causes of St Stephen’s Church Prenton
